This Bugfix Weekend once again focused on fixes and updates for the Counterweight Continent (and beyond). Here are some of the most noteworthy changes:

* The smithy on Rhinu Road now has ash you can sweep up yourself.

* The Holy Abacus of Cabbage-Slaying now correctly slays cabbages.

* Fixed several Agatean family titles that assumed the player was male. All titles are now gender-agnostic.

* Agatean family crests have had their description and materials updated to make it clearer that they a...

In a few weeks' time, we will be changing all bathroom furniture so that the "fill" command will only work when the furniture item is "plumbed in", i.e. placed as furniture. The reason for this change is that the existence of portable items providing unlimited access to water creates issues with balance that make it harder to (a) maintain existing systems that use or are affected by water and (b) implement new systems that use or are affected by water.

We are aware that this change on its own w...

Some changes have been made to who can displace furniture and remove items from player housing that is listed for auction. Specifically, from now on, only the previous tenant and anyone they "allow"ed in the property will be able to remove things during the auction period.

There are several reasons for this change. It provides a "grace period" for players who have gone inactive or run out of money during an unexpected absence from the Disc, allowing them or their cohabitants to move their belo...

Just a quick notification about some adjustments to items and spells:

* Djinn flame weapons no longer give off light if the flame colour is some variation of "black".

* To assist with the above, the willing well in the djinn outpost now has a proper help file that shows all its commands and their syntaxes.

* The djinn flying hammer (both versions) was rather weaker than intended and has been adjusted to bring it more inline with other djinn weapons. The weight is now a little lower and the ...

Bing.

Ye olde 'get' command has gotten a small upgrade. The 'get at most' syntax should now work for money and continuous items (like ash) ... with a few restrictions:

1. The syntax hasn't changed; it's still "get at most <number> <things> [from <containers>]. This means you can't do something like 'get at most 1 handful of ash, 3 carrots from sacks'

2. You can't mix 'n' match different types of continuous objects. This means if you have grey ash and black ash, and you say 'get at most 20 p...

Granny Weatherwax has returned from a brief trip to Powderknife, where she enjoyed a pleasant cup of tea with the town's local witch. The local witch in question just so happened to remember the details of a new spell she has been working on, and of course she was going to let Granny know just as soon as... well yes she absolutely could have popped over to Bad Ass, but it's just that with all the snow and... No of course it wasn't fair of her to make Granny come all the way here at this time of ...

This Bugfix Weekend saw many fixes and updates to the Counterweight Continent (and beyond). Below are some of the more notable changes:

* Obi Wan Kimono and his custom kimonos have had a bit of a refresh. Firstly, Obi Wan himself now works like other custom vendors; that is, you now interact with him via "say" instead of getting put into a special input state, and your kimono will now take time to prepare instead of being ready instantly. Secondly, linen kimonos will now provide some degree of...

The following changes have been made to weapons created by Jassi the Inferno:

- The talisman and culture bonus requirements for ordering and gifting the weapons have been lowered.

- There is no longer a health cost for activating the flame weapons. To compensate for this, the calculations that determine the duration added for each activation has been adjusted to prevent players from infinitely extending the flaming function.

- There is no longer a skillcheck to activate the flaming effect o...

The mailer is now more informative about what's actually happening when you (a) save a message from one folder to another, and (b) answer its questions about whether you'd like to save your messages to the "received" folder and/or delete the messages marked for deletion.

Note: quitting the mailer may get spammier in the short term if you have previously misunderstood how things work and hence ended up with all the things in your inbox being also duplicated in your "received" folder. Hopefully t...

Some of you will already be aware that a compass plugin for sailing has recently been taken down by its maker, after a conversation with one of our liaisons. For the avoidance of doubt: sailing compass plugins are not permitted, so if you have one installed, please uninstall it.

I have now changed some of the sailing code in order to stop the plugin from working. The reason for doing this is to make sure nobody is breaking the rules accidentally due to not having seen this blog post.

As an un...
