Name
quilting needle - used to create appliques and quilts
Syntax
thread <needle> with <thread>

sew <block or quilt> to <block or quilt> with <needle>
sew final <block or quilt> to <quilt> with <needle>
quilt <quilt> with pattern from <book> with <needle>
Description
Once threaded, the quilting needle can be used to applique quilting blocks or to sew them together into a patchwork quilt. Completed quilts can be quilted with the needle, provided a suitable pattern is followed from a book.
Two sizes of quilts can be made: one consisting of nine blocks and one consisting of twelve blocks. The blocks themselves can be appliqued or embroidered but this must be done before they are added to the quilt. Once a block is added it cannot be removed.
Appliqueing, quilting and sewing use the skill crafts.materials.needlework while crafts.arts.design also helps with quilting.
