sheathe

Discworld player help

sheathe

Name

sheathe - Put a weapon in a scabbard.

Syntax

sheathe <item>
sheathe <item> in <scabbard>

Description

This command will attempt to put a weapon in an appropriate scabbard. The command will fail if you don't have the appropriate scabbard for your weapon (i.e.: you have a long sword, but your only scabbard is for daggers), if your scabbard already has a weapon in it, or if you don't have the weapon you're trying to sheathe.

If you don't specify which scabbard to use, this command will choose a scabbard appropriate for the weapon, prioritizing worn scabbards over unworn.

If you have a weapon with a custom identifier (see 'help identify'), then you can also identify a scabbard with the same identifier plus "scabbard" at the end (eg, "mycoolsword scabbard") and that scabbard will be prioritized over others.

Example

> sheathe cutlass
You sheathe the cutlass in the cutlass scabbard.
