- Some new shades of black have been added to the willing well (and may show up in other places, too).

- Both versions of the djinn "tabar-shishpar" weapon now have access to the 'stab' special, as was originally intended.

- The tabar-shishpar (and any other non-axe weapons that nevertheless respond to the word "axe") can now be used to chop apart crates in a certain ephebian tunnel network.

- A long-standing bug has been fixed with a certain hidden chest in a certain ephebian tunnel netwo...

Goat pellets can now be referred to as "seeded", "unseeded", and "seedless", as appropriate.

Tapping a camera that's run out of both paint and frames will now tell you about both these problems rather than just one of them.

The jelly sweets from the Academy of Artificers will now remember their shape over logout. (If you have any old ones hanging about, you might need to su twice in order to make them take on a shape that will stick.)

Pet deerhounds have been stopped from spamming messages ab...

The change to bathroom furniture that I blogged about last month has now been implemented. Specifically:

From now on, the "fill" command for bathroom furniture such as baths and basins will only work when the furniture item is "plumbed in", i.e. placed as furniture.

While I'm here, I will also reiterate my previous explanation for this change, to make sure it's clear. This isn't about "realism", and it isn't about wanting to make sailing more difficult. The reason for this change is to make ...

Some Horsey Tweaks, posted on Thu Jan 9 12:37:46 2025

This bugfix weekend saw a few horsey bugs repaired:

* Grooming towels were getting damaged at a much higher rate than the other grooming gear, and sometimes quietly breaking. They now take the same level of damage as the rest.

* Horses will no longer come to their owners while said owners are flying through the air on a broomstick. (If they still do, please file a bugreport with a log that might show how it came to be. If you step into the air room through a portal while sat on, or leading, a ho...

Ridcully's Travelling Furniture Manufactory now works properly when cast in water.

This was a perfectly understandable mistake that was by no means anyone's fault and was in fact something that could have happened to anyone.

Items made heavier with Luquayle's Longevity-Enhancing Ballast or Mama Adena's Burden of Responsibility had their enchantment decaying more than was intended. This has now been fixed. You may need to check the enchantment level of such items and top them up as appropriate.

Natural talismen now decay to the same relative thaum level as their deluded counterparts.

NOTE: When making items heavier they keep their amount of enchantment resulting in an apparent reduction in relative enchantment. T...

Re-reforging A Dwarfish Axe., posted on Fri Dec 13 07:07:43 2024

I've fixed the bug in the reforged dwarf axe that would sometimes cause the judge command to report misleading information.

The axe has had no changes to it's utility in combat.

You will need to su with the axe in your inventory for the fix to apply if you're online when this is posted.

This Bugfix Weekend once again focused on fixes and updates for the Counterweight Continent (and beyond). Here are some of the most noteworthy changes:

* The smithy on Rhinu Road now has ash you can sweep up yourself.

* The Holy Abacus of Cabbage-Slaying now correctly slays cabbages.

* Fixed several Agatean family titles that assumed the player was male. All titles are now gender-agnostic.

* Agatean family crests have had their description and materials updated to make it clearer that they a...

In a few weeks' time, we will be changing all bathroom furniture so that the "fill" command will only work when the furniture item is "plumbed in", i.e. placed as furniture. The reason for this change is that the existence of portable items providing unlimited access to water creates issues with balance that make it harder to (a) maintain existing systems that use or are affected by water and (b) implement new systems that use or are affected by water.

We are aware that this change on its own w...
