Description
This is one of a number of lamp-type furniture items available all over the Discworld. They hold various numbers of candles and therefore give out varying amounts of light.
Lighting
light [the] contents of <lamp>
If you are a wizard, you can also:
wave [hand] at <lamp>
And if you are a witch:
glare at <lamp>
Most lamps need to be filled with candles - any type should do. They will need replacing when they burn down to stubs.
Extinguishing
extinguish [the] contents of <lamp>
If you are a wizard, you can also:
snap fingers at <lamp>
And if you are a witch:
sniff at <lamp>
These commands extinguish the contents of the lamp.
