judge - Judges how effective a weapon is
Syntax
judge <weapon>
judge <weapon> against <weapon>
Description
By judging a weapon, you can get an idea of how effective it is in combat and you can compare one weapon against another to see which is the better. You can only judge the mundane damage capabilities of weapons and how well you are able to judge depends on your skills. It costs 25 adventuring points to judge a weapon and twice that to compare one weapon with another.
Note that the maximum and average damage are measured on the same scale, so that average damage will always be lower than maximum.
Example
> judge stiletto
You look closely at the wicked little stiletto.
You think that the wicked little stiletto is a very good dagger which can be used to stab.
It is very easy to attack with, extremely easy to parry with, has a low maximum damage and a rather low average damage.
> judge stiletto against baton
You look closely at the wicked little stiletto and the collapsible steel baton.
You think that the wicked little stiletto is much worse than the collapsible steel baton.
Compared to the collapsible steel baton, the wicked little stiletto is easier to attack with and harder to parry with.
