What's What!

Welcome to What's What! A web-based recognition programme for the hard work your creators put into this MUD each and every day! In here, you can find a list of your favourite (and not so favourite) creators, and a list of the projects they have been involved with that are either in playtesting (thus, all but completed), limbo (completed but not in the game for whatever reason), or in play (you've been there, done that).

The creators and projects on this page should not be considered exhaustive... this is still a work in progress. If there is a creator you'd like to know more about missing, then ask them... remember, however, that the What's What is a voluntary endeavour. Don't feel offended if they wish to bow out of it.

Have fnu!

Description of the Leagues project

An upgrade to the clan command: leagues are collections of players who can have PK interactions with each other. Features:

* There are (currently) three kinds of leagues:

+ permanent leagues with an elected leader (only created by creators; most pertinently the Playerkillers league)

+ special leagues created for in-game events like capture the flag or the Roary Pig; there is no leader, and adding people to the league happens through in-game commands

+ temporary invite-only leagues (which can be created by any player who is not banned from or too young for PK)

* People can be in multiple leagues (up to 10 at the same time).

* Two people can have PK interactions with each other if there is a league they are both in.

* The league marshal (that is, the leader of the league) can appoint and demote officers, and has all the power of an officer (specifically, to invite and disbar players). In addition, the marshal of a temporary league can disband that league.

* All temporary clans should have a marshal (since there is no process to elect a new one), so when the marshal resigns, an officer is appointed in their place.

* You can keep track of changes to any leagues you're in through "inform clan" (this will be renamed to "inform league" once the command goes live, but since it's currently used in the game we could not do that yet).

* The "league" command is used to change things around with a specific league.

* The "ptkillers" command (will be "killers", but that is currently used in the game) can be used to list the people online you can interact with.

Leagues are already in the game, in the form of the Playerkillers league and the two special leagues listed above; however, they are still called "clan" there. Since people were dissatisfied with the name, the word "clan" should no longer occur.

The Leagues project is currently in play.
