Everyone gets lost at some point and often you aren't as lost as you think. If it's daytime and you can read room descriptions, try to use those to work out where you are on one of the maps linked to from the Atlas section of this website.

If it's dark or you really can't find yourself on the map you have two options. One is to ask other players for help. You can do this in 'shout's, 'tell's or maybe over the talker.

Secondly, everyone has a fairy godmother (see help godmother) who can help them get back to safety if they are in trouble. When you are inexperienced she will take you back to somewhere familiar for free, though as you advance through the game there will be penalties for using her.
