Name

keep - Designates that an object shouldn't be sold.

Syntax

keep <object>

Description

This command helps you avoid selling, giving away or putting away something by accident. Items that you have decided to keep are shown as such by "locate". Whether an item is to be kept or not is preserved over logins, even if the item leaves your inventory.

Special identifiers

Objects you are keeping have the "kept" adjective and objects you are not keeping have the "unkept" adjective.

Example

> locate daggers
The dagger (1) (held in left hand) is in your inventory.
The dagger (2) is in your inventory.
> keep dagger
You will now attempt to keep the dagger.
> locate daggers
The dagger (1) (held in left hand) (keeping) is in your inventory.
The dagger (2) is in your inventory.
> locate kept daggers
The dagger (held in left hand) (keeping) is in your inventory.
> locate unkept daggers
The dagger is in your inventory.
> sell daggers
You sell the dagger for 42 Ankh-Morpork pence.
> locate daggers
The dagger (held in left hand) (keeping) is in your inventory.
> sell dagger
You have previously decided to keep the dagger.
