bodyguard

Name

bodyguard - Protect a person.

Syntax

bodyguard <person>
bodyguard remove <person>
bodyguard

Description

Makes you bodyguard the person. Bodyguarding someone means that you parry as many blows aimed at the person as possible. This is useful for protecting spell casters whose spells are interrupted by combat.

If you use this command without any arguments it shows who is bodyguarding you and who you are bodyguarding in the room.

If you use this command with the word remove between it and the list of people, you will stop bodyguarding these people.

This command will not use guild points, however it will reduce your ability to both attack and defend yourself.

To actively bodyguard someone you need to be holding something, and you need to have your response set to parry.

Example

> bodyguard pinkfish
You bodyguard pinkfish.
(Useful example isn't it?)

> bodyguard
You are bodyguarding Pinkfish.

> bodyguard remove pinkfish
You stop bodyguarding Pinkfish.
