| No Longer A Stab In The Dark, posted on Tue Jul 29 20:13:46 2025 | | Posted by: Kadath | | Category: Special | I've updated the 'judge' command so that it is now possible to assess a weapon's suitability for stealthy attacks, such as backstabbing and ambushing.
There's no change to the syntax, you will simply see the additional information if you have a certain level of familiarity with using weapons covertly. The accuracy, like the rest of the command, depends on a number of different factors.
Please note the following:
- There has been no change to any other aspect of judge; the non-covert aspects continue to work exactly as they always have.
- There has been no change to any weapon; anything that judges as giving a benefit to covert attacks has had this bonus all along, there just wasn't an easy way to ascertain that fact before now.
- There are a number of factors that contribute to the difficulty of the judge command. If you are getting inconsistent results when judging two weapons against each other, it's *highly* likely to be a difficulty issue rather than anything else. Still do submit a bug report if something strikes you as obviously incorrect or broken, of course.
Have fun!
