Your dedicated creator team has fixed a number of mission related bugs this month. The most notable are:

* A new keyword, $localtime$, has been added to the alias system. Please see "help alias tutorial" for details, in the new section "What Time Did I Do That?"

* A bug in Pennie Laced has been fixed; it is now no longer possible to accidentally find the required item twice by queueing search commands, and hence it is no longer possible to accidentally lock yourself out of getting the mission ...

The release of clownmounting on April 1 introduced a new bug that stopped horses from trampling in combat. This has now been fixed.

Happy Pancake Day!

You can now fry pancakes in a frying pan, skillet, or wok. This requires a heat source like brewing, as well as flour, raw egg (from cracking eggs), milk, and butter. You can also add any seasonings and up to 1 optional ingredient of your choice!

The range of tents available has been expanded, and you can now go camping around the Disc! Some highlights:

* Erecting a tent will keep the room it's in loaded, which means that the stuff you leave in it (and outside it) will not be eaten by the inevitable progress of time for a few days - even if you log out.

* WARNING: It can still be picked up by players or NPCs, and a crash or a reboot will destroy it all. Anything you lose like this will not be replaced by Liaisons.

After some discussion with The Defeater of Empires, the Swallower of Oceans, the Thief of Years, the Ultimate Reality, the Harvester of Mankind, the Assassin 'Gainst Whom No Lock Will Hold (better known as Death), he has agreed that once something has crossed into his jurisdiction, as it were, then if someone was focusing their attention upon said thing, that attention should then be lost.

Hello all!

There have been some changes to the way teaching works. Specifically:

* The goodness of teachers is now capped based on your own bonus.

* Teachers can specialise in a skilltree. The cap is higher for skills in the tree they specialise in.

* Both the teaching XP and the learning cost formulas have been adjusted slightly.

* There is now a "teachers" command to help you find online teachers for skills you want to learn.

The zombie bacterium event will happen again on October 31, Tuesday! If you missed the last one, now's your chance to bite some survivors and/or purify some zombies.

Like the last time, the event will be opt-in: type "zombies opt-in" when it's ongoing to join. This means that if you do not want to participate in the event, you can completely ignore it.

The event will run for 24 hours.

Horse-loving individuals of a charitable nature may wish to find Galsworthy Prebble in the streets of Ankh-Morpork, and give him some money. Perhaps buy a T-shirt or a badge to show your support for the Ankh-Morpork Equine Welfare Society. Bring a spare hat so he can make it suitable for your horse to wear. Our recent Bugfix Weekend produced a plethora of fixes and enhancements, mostly related to playerhousing, decoration and furniture. Further details below!

* Furniture now responds to "placed furniture" and "unplaced furniture"/"displaced furniture" as appropriate. Moreover, it now responds to "all"/"thing"/"things" _if and only if_ it is unplaced; so, for example, "drop all" will now drop furniture items as well, but "get all" will continue to ignore placed furniture.

* Player-made wooden rings are now slightly less ridiculously durable than they were.

* Newly made Uberwaldean walking sticks are now "walking sticks" instead of just "sticks".

* You now need to be holding a saw in order to saw rivings, rather than just having it in the room. On the other hand, sawing multiple rivings at once now behaves a little better.

* Some new wood types have been added in various places wood is sold.
