March Of The Warriors, posted on Mon Mar 7 19:15:13 2022

The Warriors Guild are marching into March with a variety of bugfixes, items, weapons, achievements and more. Details of the most noteworthy changes are as follows:

- Beheads that lead to a head hitting you in the face and covering you in blood will now actually cover you in blood.

- The berserking messages about attacking thin air now take account of whether you're holding weapons and/or shields. You will also occasionally push NPCs over, just for the fun of it.

- Three new iai-related achievements have been added: A Well-Oiled Scabbard, Iaijutsu Artist, and Decisively Deadly.

- Three changes have been made to the guard command:

1) It is now possible to use adjectives when specifying which NPCs to guard an exit against.

2) The helpfile for the guard command has been rewritten to explain more clearly how this specification works.

3) The message shown to onlookers when someone starts guarding an exit will now indicate which exit they're guarding.

- Wan Bending Reed will now assess the suitability of potential customers to wield his new bespoke kodachis. The requirements for these weapons may different from the other types of sword he offers.

- Three new scabbards have been added, two for heavy swords (and swords) and one for polearms. You can find them in the armouries of the Ankh-Morpork Palace Guard, Hublandish Barbarians, and the Lancre Highland Regiment.

- The Hublandish Barbarians armoury now also sells more cold-weather clothing and a new extra-warm helmet.

- The Musketeers armoury now has more coats and hats available.

- Divine Vestments can now be performed on padded caps.

- Yielding in the Musketeer duelling room now works more consistently.

- Several additions and changes have been made with regards to newbie chests:

1) The Lancre Highland Regiment now have an old chicken coop to put things in.

2) The Hublandish Barbarians have set up two large skulls (one for each camp) that will act as containers.

3) The Imperial Guard have a new tea chest that can be used to store items.

4) If you were the person who added an item to a newbie chest, then you should also be able to remove it regardless of the usual newbie chest restrictions. This particular feature will come into effect after the next weboot.

These changes (and many other smaller bugfixes) are thanks to Feanor, Guildenstern, Kadath, Kake and Presto.

Enjoy!
